Maritime Tartan Company was started back in 2019 in Halifax, NS by Sherrie Kearney.

A lifelong crafter, Sherrie has been sewing for nearly 50 years and has made everything from stuffed toys to clothing and various accessories.

She has shipped her products all over the world and has made various items for political figures and celebrities over the years.

Sherrie gained popularity during Covid where she pivoted from making her regular tartan products to making cloth face masks.

She did close to 26,000 of them by herself. Much of the money made from these masks went to local charities, earning Sherrie the Queen's Jubilee Platinum Medal for her efforts to help others.

We sell Sherrie's handmade products as well as items from Patrick King Woollen Company and East Coast Lifestyle.

We are very proud to be a local retailer of East Coast Lifestyle products 

All of Sherrie's products are still handcrafted in Nova Scotia.
